Facebook Flaw allows complete control over your account !

   To many people , their Facebook account is a major part of their online presence , if not the only one . People share boatloads of their lives on this social network and interact with all their friends and family through it , Facebook  is practically the whole internet for quite a few people , and as such there are a lot of privacy concerns on the social network.

    By using Facebook's API even third party web developers can get access to a very large audience ,and  many apps do post spam and irrelevant things via their user's profile , all in an attempt to get more users  to use their app , thankfully , there is a permission system whereby you can disallow an app to post things that, you do not want to share .

Image credit
   but ,it seems this security has it's flaws , +Nir Goldshlager  has found a security flaw in this technique of securing the users account that allows a third party to get complete access to your account,

I wanted something more powerful!,

Something that will give me full permissions (read inbox, outbox, manage pages, manage ads,access to private photos, videos, etc.) on the victim's account without any installed application on the victim and make Facebook do the Goldshake ;),

  The hack works by utilizing the fact that Facebook has it's own "apps" that use these API and are completely trusted , hence , you don't need to allow Facebook messenger permission but Ebuddy or Nimbuzz will ask you for them . by using this one simple fact Nir was able to employ his previous findings and get complete access to the users account , without the user ever clicking the "allow" button. for more check out the video below and Nir's post

if you want to read up more on this topic you can always ask Me in the Comments or Google :)

Facebook security - real or virtual ?

yo guys,
In the world of today where Facebook is becoming more and more synonymous with internet or social networking , at the very least ,it has become the hub of most all of our social connections and so ,it is not surprising that many scammers  and people with a twisted sense of  'Fun' will try to get access to your account , this is either to misuse  your personal information , or to block your own access to your account and then watch as you try relentlessly to get in your own account .
 more on this after the break ....

Hack your nokia s40 to multitask

  I see that this post is getting a lot of traffic,
so i would appreciate if you also check out my other posts and like the blog here .

  Hello guys, now i am going to show you how you can hack your nokia s40 phone.
Doing this will  remove security and get the ability to multitask , this can particularly be useful if you like to chat while browsing the web or you want to use apps like Sms-Schedulers,ram boosters etc.......
let's get on with the process

Disclaimer:i take no responsibility if you mess up your phone or your phone gets bricked proceed at your own risk though it wont break if you follow steps carefully ..... This process removes the security of your phone so do not use apps that require internet if you do not have a network plan ...........or you will suffer the consequence
  • Download and install J.A.F with Pkey emulator (download here)
  • run the program through the Pkey emulator
  • now connect your phone via usb
  • Goto “BB5″ Tab
  • Tick “read pp” button and hit service.
  • Now you will get the *.pp file [product profile] of your phone. save it on desktop
  •  open that file with a text editors such as notepad .

for s40 v3 phones change the value of 28th line to 2 from 1,that is “28 2″
for s40 v5 and v6 phones change the value of 48th line to 2,that is “48 2″
some phones show only three fields on their pp file,then just add 48 2 below set 1 like this

  • Tick upload pp
  • Hit service button
    your phone will now go into test mode,
    a pop window will appear,
  • choose the edited pp,
    J.A.F will upload pp file to your phone,
    finally the phone restarts,
    that’s it now you have hacked your phones security.

now let us talk about adding multitasking to your apps/midlets
After you have hacked your phone’s security , then take the application you want to minimize ,
extract that jar file to a folder (using winrar/winzip)
then modify “manifest.mf” file of that jar file,
it is found inside a folder manifest,
and add this code at very last line of the manifest.mf file,

Nokia-MIDlet-no-exit: True

make sure that ‘MID’ in this  code stays in capitals,

Repack the jar file and install it in your mobile,and then run the application.
Now if you press the red button,the application will not ask you to exit,
rather it minimizes,clicking on the application again will restore it.

that's it for now,
 keep sharing keep growing
Multitask works s40^5 and higher

what are your experiences with the minimize hack?
what apps do you use the most for minimizing ?

Share your experiences with me in the comments and don't forget to like us on fb

6th sense

from the official website :-
'SixthSense' is a wearable gestural interface that augments the physical world around us with digital information and lets us use natural hand gestures to interact with that information.
The SixthSense [prototype] comprises a pocket projector, a mirror and a camera contained in a pendant like, wearable device.
The projector projects visuals enabling any physical surfaces, walls and objects around us to be used as interfaces/screens ;
while the camera recognizes and tracks users' hand gestures and objects using computer-vision techniques.
The software program in the computing device in user's pocket  processes the video stream data that is  captured by the camera and tracks the locations of the colored markers at the tips of the user’s fingers.
The movements and arrangements of these markers are interpreted into gestures that act as interaction instructions for the projected application interfaces.
SixthSense supports multi-touch and multi-user interaction.

The current prototype implements several applications that demonstrate the usefulness, viability and flexibility of the system. a few examples are ,The map application , The drawing application

 SixthSense also recognizes user’s freehand gestures (postures). For example, the SixthSense system implements a gestural camera that takes photos of the scene the user is looking at by detecting the ‘framing’ gesture.
The user can stop by any surface or wall and flick through the photos he/she has taken.
 SixthSense also lets the user draw icons or symbols in the air using the movement of the index finger and recognizes those symbols as interaction instructions. For example, drawing a magnifying glass symbol takes the user to the map application
 The SixthSense system also augments physical objects the user is interacting with by projecting more information about these objects projected on them. For example, a newspaper can show live video news or dynamic information can be provided on a regular piece of paper. The gesture of drawing a circle on the user’s wrist projects an analog watch.

as per the official website , The current prototype system costs approximate $350 to build. Instructions on how to make your own prototype device can be found here

the maker , also an indian, is pranav mistry he has made this really nice gadget on windows platform in C/C++
the instructions to make your own , do not yet, have the software but let us wait for it :D
this really makes me think of what is possible in the future where we can interact with our friends not in a screen but on a real-sized wall projection! all in all a great projects there are a few remakes done by aspiring people but none of those that i saw were seriously comparabe to the original
here's a vid.

enjoy the vid and  Happy Geeking  :D

Nokia s40 hack for internal browser

Nokia X2-00 hack for internal browser
( works on other s40 nokia models)
two ways to reach the trick are present let us look at them

  1. The true "hack" (a bug left out ) (may work on other models)
  2. The html file loader (may not work on other models)
The first, true hack
steps are

  • Go to media player's now playing screen  (pic1)
  • go options>>more>>downloads>>go to address
  • you will get a box with "rtsp://" in it
  • replace that with "http://www.google.com" or (other address you wish)
    but, http:// is mandatory as it defines to use http protocol

address box

Final result

 Second, if you want a more quicker way to access this internal browser
 (that has great support for css and javascript and html )

1.create an html file with the following html code in it

<html><head>
<title>Internal browser </title>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
function delayer(){
window.location = document.getElementById("url").value
}
//-->
</script>
</head>
<body >

<hr>This and many other tricks @ http://gadget-geek-prashant.blogspot.com<br>please don't remove this link
Enter the url to browse the web using internal browser <hr>
Enter Url: <input id="url" type="text" name="url" value="http://www.google.com"/>
<input type="button" value="Go" onclick="delayer()"/>
</body>
</html>

 2.save and transfer that file to your phone
 3.browse to it in gallery and open the file
 4.go options>>add to web services
 5.select "Internal browser " for the shortcut on the shortcut bar (in the category web services)

Enjoy the better html rendering of the internal browser ,
but remember it will take a little while to load files of large resource size (>300kb)
