Laptops , by design , do not have air circulation as good as desktops can and as a result laptops tend to heat up a lot faster than a desktop computer. so it becomes vital at that point to make sure your laptop does not overheat , although the laptops that are made in the recent years will have a temperature sensor that will make sure that the temperature does not reach a point where the internals of your laptop get damaged , it will instead crash your laptop and you will lose all your work or gaming progress as games are very demanding on the processor and lead to generation of a lot of heat
Real Temp
From official site -
Real Temp is a temperature monitoring program designed for all Intel single Core, Dual Core, Quad Core and Core i7 processors. Each core on these processors has a digital thermal sensor (DTS) that reports temperature data relative to TJMax which is the safe maximum operating core temperature for the CPU. As your CPU heats up, your Distance to TJMax will decrease. If it reaches zero, your processor will start to thermal throttle or slow down so maximizing your distance away from TJMax will help your computer run at full speed and more reliably too.
Personally , I have tried this on my sister's laptop ,which has a tendency to overheat so rapidly that you could iron out clothes with it ,especially if playing Call of duty MW 2 on full graphics and real temp would show me that the temperature had reached about 118 degree Celsius , so yeah this piece of code works
flawlessly ,although the laptop crashed every 15 minutes until i lowered the graphics settings .
So check your CPU temperature and post it in the comments . Download real temp here :
